Just an hour ago, I received a letter from my town council with a cover slogan that reads " Make Gracious Living Our Way Of Life " The letter stress primarily on potential hazard that could created an unpleasant living environment within the estate that we live in. It also greatly emphasise the needs and co-operation among the residents to make our living environment a safer and pleasant to live in.
The author, Dr Ahmad Magad ( Chairman, Pasir Ris- Punggol Town Council ) probably needs to "Wake-Up" from the comfort of his office armchair and walk the constituency with "eyes wide open".
You can't preach good , If you don't walk the talk.
Pasir Ris Town Council management should be sack and replaced with truly competent hands-on officials. I have live in Pasir Ris since day one, and can surely outrightly declare that these present management is totally hopeless and " Deaf ".
All they cares about, is that, we residents pays our conservancy fees in time.
Residents complaints and feedback eventually ends up in their rubbish bin. They discard productive and sincere feedbacks pertaining to safety suggestions of the environment and of their workers. Time and time again its impossible to get safety message across.
So Dr Ahmad Magad, With your eyes wide open, another of your contract worker engaged by Town Council working without a safety harness six floor up . How gracious can the envirnnment at Pasir Ris be if you have a bunch of crowns working at the town council that always wears ear plug. This is not a one off incident, its happen most of the time at Pasir Ris.
